Non Surgical Procedures

Non-Surgical Body Contouring

Non-surgical cellulite removal or body contouring has revolutionized the way people achieve attractive bodies without diet or exercise. You can reduce cellulite, get rid of pregnancy fat and get tighter skin, reduce wrinkles and stretch marks using non-invasive techniques. Three exciting technologies for non-invasive fat removal treatments include Coolsculpting, Ultrasonic Body Contouring and RF Body Contouring that are completely safe and painless. A sitting typically lasts an hour and there is no downtime at all. Results are visible almost instantly and improve with time.

Botulinum Toxin

Commonly known as Botox, botulinum toxin is used extensively for reducing wrinkles and rejuvenating facial skin. Botox is injected quickly and does not need any down time. However, the effects are temporary.

Botox on being injected in small dose into a muscle, blocks nerve signals and temporarily weakens or paralyzes the facial muscles. As a result, wrinkles in the skin are iron out for a few months. It may take 3 to 4 days before the results become noticeable and 1 week for it to be completely effective.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels provide a non invasive way to take years of wrinkles and sun damage off your face. During the procedure, a chemical solution is applied to the skin and allowed to soak in. It destroys the upper layers of the skin in a controlled manner and a fresh layer of skin grows in its place. There are three types of peels depending on the type of chemical solution used and how deep it is allowed to penetrate. Peeling continues over next 14 days and numerous precautions are required till fresh layer of skin grows.

Fillers

Fillers like Hyaluronic acid fillers and Calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres come from compounds similar to naturally occurring compounds in body and injected in body to fine lines around the lips, plump up thinning lips, restore volume to cheeks, fill under-eye hollows, and add definition to a slackening jaw line. Results last anything from 3 months to a year and vary from person to person. Synthetic fillers, Poly L-lactic acid gradually stimulate the body to regenerate its own collagen. Patient requires a series of three to six injection sessions, about a month apart, for results lasting up to two years.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation

During laser skin rejuvenation procedure, the surgeon uses the laser to send short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at uneven skin. It eliminates damaged skin in a very exact manner, one layer at a time. Laser skin resurfacing means fewer problems with hypo-pigmentation. The laser beam used in laser resurfacing removes the outer layer of skin along with heating the underlying skin, called the dermis. It stimulates the growth of new collagen cells. While the treated area heals, new firmer and smoother skin forms improving the overall look.

Laser Facial Resurfacing

Laser Facial Resurfacing is a fast and easy way to facial rejuvenation by enhancing the look and texture of the skin. It reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with the help of carbon dioxide (CO2) Erbium laser, or another laser device, that removes several layers of damaged skin. As a result, lines around the eyes and mouth soften, facial scars fade and skin color and tone become even and light. Performed under general anesthesia this procedure takes about an hour or so. Patient may require more than one session depending upon the severity of the damage.

Laser Hair Removal

Removal of unwanted hair from any part of the body is now commonly done with the help of the Lasers. There are several types of Lasers used for the purpose. Commonest and most effective are the Nd Yag, Diode Lasers and Intense Pulse Light systems.

The laser is beamed over the affected area after cooling it. The procedure is not very painful and no anesthesia is required. Full face can be done in about 15 to 20 minutes.

The procedure is repeated after 4 to 6 weeks and about 4 to 8 such treatments are required depending upon the individualís response of hair growth. Repeated sittings are required as only the hair in their growth phase are destroyed.

PRP Treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma)

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma and is made out of your own blood. A small volume of blood is drawn into a syringe, which is then centrifuged to create a plasma preparation. This PRP is then injected back into your skin by tiny injections and/or with micro-needling and massage. This will start a normal healing process by stimulating collagen formulation, revascularization and repair. This explains why PRP provides a gradual increase in skin thickness and vitality.

PRP isn't a new trick; it has been widely used in surgery as platelets promote wound healing and repair by attracting growth cells. Because of its regenerative properties, it has been welcomed to aesthetic medicine with great success.
